Medowie Public School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) is a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of all students through the cooperation of the school and wider community.
Our Constitutional objectives are:
- To promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation; and
- To assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.
P&C meets on the second Monday of the month during school term. Membership is open to all parents, carers and staff of Medowie Public School, and interested citizens. A small annual fee entitles members to actively participate in our decision-making process.
P&C operates the school’s Canteen and Uniform Shop, as well as conducting regular fundraising events to finance specific school projects. Popular annual fundraisers include an Easter raffle, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls, and student discos. P&C also facilitates the Commonwealth Bank’s School Banking program.
In recent years, we have had the pleasure of making the following contributions to Medowie Public School, among other things:
- All-weather cover for playground equipment
- A custom-designed special needs playground
- Laptops and a trolley to store, transport and charge the laptops
- Outdoor seating and landscaping
- Syllabus resources
